VNU Panthers Special Olympics Summer Games Results

The Village Northwest Unlimited Panthers are excited to share the outcome of their participation in the 2017 Special Olympics Iowa Summer Games. The Summer Games were held May 25 – May 27, 2017 at Iowa State University in Ames, IA.

There were 18 athletes representing the VNU Panthers in 13 events. Results are as follows:

Track & Field Events:
25 Meter Walk – Matt Stoll – 1st place
50 Meter Dash – Justin Groen – 4th place; Matt Kramer – 2nd place
100 Meter Dash – Keith Krumm – 3rd place
100 Meter Walk – Chris Swoyer – 1st place
400 Meter Walk – Karen Kennedy – 8th place
Running Long Jump – Scott Wheeler – 2nd place
Shot Put – Matt Kramer – 1st place
Softball Throw – Matt Stoll – 1st place
Standing Long Jump – John List – 1st place
Turbo Javelin – Shawn Todd – 7th place; Jessica Webb – 4th place
4x100 Meter Walk Relay – Mary Swoyer, Janet Grooters, Nicole Arens, Jessica Webb – 1st place

Bocce Ball:
